The start of our 2011 Projects

Today marked the official start of our 2011 outdoor projects.  It also marked the first time we hired out a whole job at our house (well almost).   Project 1 will include paved driveway, stone base for paver walkway to the driveway from the house, and stone base for the patio outside the kitchen. Once the paving and stone base are done... we will start the real work -pavers for the patio and walkway.  I am most looking forward to not having a muddy car in the spring and being able to have our driveway plowed in the winter...oh and our friends not getting stuck in our driveway when the come to visit.  Despite the mess and all of the work we have ahead of us on these projects, I am excited that we will have visible progress on the outside of our house.

Please do not pay attention to the big white splotches on the house....We had some issues with our scuppers this winter...

It has been a long winter...

I feel as if it has been a long winter in Central New York and in my professional life.  This spring (if we can call it that) interesting projects have picked up and we are slowly working out the dry, pay the bills projects.  We have picked up a couple national and regional clients, who's work is quite fun, we also have a few local projects coming up that will definitely impact the local community's image.  I think that I am most excited to have some long overdue projects planned for this year around the homestead. So, tune (back) in and see what this ride brings.
