Front Bathroom

This summer has largely been spent siding the house and building our garage - both are now just about done. I have put the painting of the house on hold until spring as it is too cold to paint outside any more this year. I will paint the final coat in the spring. The garage is just about done. We are waiting on the arrival of the garage doors until we can do much more there. In the mean time I am starting to think about winter projects for the house.

I am getting a bit tired of the light gray walls that we have thru most of our hose. I figure starting with the quickest room will give me the push that i need to be inspired for the rest of the house. Hopefully by spring there will be some big progress here.

The front bathroom is the bathroom used by our visitors and is adjacent to our office and the main entry to the house.

The pedistal sink in the photo below will remain as will the toilet. The shower has not been tiled yet - that will receive a 2x2 white tile finish.

I am not a wallpaper person. In the case of this bathroom, i think that the wallpaper will add a bit of the unexpected as well as just be fun. i had thought about painting a black & white floral detail on the wall, but in the end decided that the wallpaper would yield a better result in the end. Now, the only question is which one...

Option 1: Floral - Gray & Silver

Option 2: Floral - Black & Silver

This is the mirror (which was made from a window) from my Great-Grandmother's house which we will be using over the sink.

I have finally found the 'right' light fixture for the space. I would have loved for it to be brushed metal but the chrome will work just fine.
